“Jackie Chan Rumble In The Bronx” is by far my favourite movie of all time. Before I give my reason, let me tell you about the plot. The movie was released in Canada in 1996. now I know this movie is really old but so are your grandparents and you love them in spite of their age so you can look past this, right? The main character, Keung (played by Jackie Chan), goes to New York City from Hong Kong to attend his uncle’s wedding. His uncle owns a shop in the Bronx, but of course, it would not be Jackie Chan Fim if there were no problems where ever he goes. While attending his uncle’s shop while he is on his honeymoon with his new wife, he stops some gang members from robbing his uncle’s store. And believe me, Keung leaves a real good impression on this gang as they go about causing trouble for Keung and the rest of the people who get caught up in this storm. With a short synopsis out of the way, I love this movie because it holds a special place in my heart from when I was a kid. I didn’t have a lot growing up, but I did have a bunch of VHS tapes, including this movie. I watched this movie so many times that even to this day, I go back and give it a watch. What is there not to love? Jackie beating up thugs in New York. Jackie pulls off stunts that would kill anyone else who is not Jackie Chan. Sneek in some comedy, and boom, you got a film. Don’t get me wrong; I know it is not the best movie. The acting is not great, to say the least, but the action scenes in my opinion, really make this worth watching every time.
