GO Buses No Longer Dropping Off at York Keele Campus!
As of January 5th 2019 GO buses will no longer drop students/faculty off at the YorkU Keele Campus. The last and final stop of all bus routes will be the Hwy. 407 station. York University released a statement saying,
“The decision to relocate GO buses to Highway 407 Station has always been a part of the longer-term plan to move service from campus to Highway 407 Station.”
This is the second transit system to stop service at York University’s Keele campus, after YRT’s decision to stop service on September 2nd 2018.
York University students have started a petition to have both transit services resume on the Keele Campus and can be found here.
Green Day; Now on Mars
NASA’s InSight Mars Lander, which touched down on the red planet’s Elysium Planitia, had a chip inside it that was etched with “Green Day Since 1986” on it. This is a reference to the band and the year the band was formed.
Green day tweeted about the landing later that day saying “Officially landed on Mars”.
Anyone that has ever said Green Day is out of this world, is now officially correct.
If You Attend Concerts Regularly, You’re Going To Live Longer
A recent study conducted by O2 has found that attending concerts lowers stress and can lead to a longer lifespan.
The study found that within just 20 minutes of being at a concert participants overall feeling of wellbeing increased and this increase in happiness is linked to a longer lifespan of 9 years! 9 extra years because you like live music! Other benefits were found “showing increases, including feelings of self-worth (+25%) and closeness to others (+25%) whilst mental stimulation climbed by an impressive 75%.”.
Now that there’s evidence, go to that concert! Go to all the concerts!
