Another day and another blog. Today Alex talks about the start of Toronto FC’s MLS campaign following a very successful season which saw them win the Canadian championship, the Supporters shield also setting a new record with amount of points in a regular season with 69 points, and also winning there first ever MLS Cup. For the first time in TFC’s 11 year history, they will be hosting the first match of the 2018 MLS season against the team they beat to reach the MLS final and that was the Columbus Crew. Since there last match, both teams will for sure be stronger as both clubs try to add new assets to there squad to make it better in the off season. Columbus will be looking for redemption after the reds knocked them out in the Eastern Conference Final, but hopefully Toronto FC will go on and continue what they started last year. Question for you? Do you think Toronto FC will be an even better team than they were this past season? If you were busy at work or school yesterday and didn’t get to see the Leaf game, don’t worry Alex talks about the boys in blue as well. Yesterday marked the 100th anniversary of the Toronto Maple Leafs first game in the NHL. Mitch Marner who has started his season pretty poor compared to the way he played last year stepped up in the absence of Auston Matthews scoring a goal and getting 3 assists in an 8-1 mauling over the Carolina Hurricanes. Marner was the standout player in that match for sure. The Leafs looked very good yesterday, but can they continue performing like this. They play Columbus next and that will be an interesting game because it has been confirmed that Matthews will make the trip to Ohio, but the question is will he play in that game? Toronto Maple Leafs are one of the best teams in the NHL this season. Where do you think they will finish at the end of the season?
