Over the years I have watched a lot of great sports teams like the new England patriots, green bay packers and Dallas Cowboys but there is one team I have always been a diehard fan of since I started watching football, the Pittsburgh Steelers. I remember watching when they won the Superbowl back in 2006 and 2009. I almost cried like a little baby when they won, I almost fell out of my bed with all the joy I had. Each and ever year after winning back in 2009 I felt disappointing. I felt like they were not the same team that I remember from many years ago. But, going into the 2017 season I had so much expectations, okay maybe not. After so much discussion in the media about Ben Roethlisberger If he was going to come back the next season. After being defeated by the Patriots last season in the AFC championship game. As a fan I had so many questions, Is he he going to be the same elite quarterback he has always been? Watching there first game of the regular season against the disappointing debacle the Cleveland Browns I said to myself that Big Ben and Antonio Brown and Laveon Bell were back in full force. The memories of last season were behind them. Then, I started to get a little scared because they lost to the Chicago Bears in Chicago. I think the most shocking loss of them all this season was against the up and coming Jacksonville Jaguars, they lost 23-9 at home in a game where Roethlisberger threw five interceptions. I remember hearing the next day from all these sports journalists that big Ben is trash and the Steelers are awful. I said to myself, “Its only one bad loss, I think they can turn it around”. They sure as hell did, which I am suprized about because most teams I cheer for end up letting me down, Hint Hint the Leafs. Anyways, I think a lot of people in the sports world are wondering if the Steelers can compete with Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. Here is my take on it, they have the same record in the American Football Conference and they have a huge encounter on December 15th in Pittsburgh. I expect it to be very hard hitting between two explosive offenses. But then there is apart of me saying my team cannot hang with the goat aka Tom Brady. I expect them too have the same record going into there explosive match up. |I really cannot predict the score right now but I expect it to be a game that everyone will be talking about the next day. New England has a match up against the Dolphins this Monday night and the Steelers will play the night before againsts there old rivals the Baltimore Ravens. I expect both teams to win even without both of there key players in Rob Gronkowski for the Patriots and the Steelers star rookie Juju Smith Schuster, they are both serving a one game suspension but never the less I know both teams will take care of business.
