Cake Cake Cake…….cream cheese?

Growing up I loved all type of cake. Well I think I loved all kinds of cake mainly because of the sweetness and the sugar rush it often gave me. Within all my twenty years of being alive on this earth I have discovered that Cheesecake is my number one favourite cake. Whenever I the chance to enjoy a slice if cheesecake it’s asif my taste buds have been reopened. The best memory I had with a cheesecake was for my fathers birthday last year. I bought him a blueberry cheesecake, but it turned out that I was the only one who loved Cheesecake. So for about a week I had cheesecake everyday. Although I love cheesecake I’m not going to be showing you how to make it today.  Instead I’ll be teaching you how to make Vanilla slings cake with cream cheese inside. Vanilla and cream cheese I don’t think anyone can go wrong with that. You’re probably thinking that its going to be weird. But that’s exactly how I felt when I came up with the idea. To start off please please make sure you have a half or full container if cream cheese.


  •  Four large eggs ( can be brown or white)
  • One cup of white sugar
  • One cup of milk
  • One stick of butter melted
  • One table spoon of vanilla
  • One cup of all purpose flour
  • Two table spoon of baking soda
  • Half a cup of cream cheese


In a mixing bowl combine the four eggs, the one cup of sugar,one cup of milk, melted butter and the vanilla. Mix all  these ingredients together until it is all blended well. Then add the one cup of  flour,baking powder and half of tea spoon of salt and mix well. For the cream cheese make sure you are using half the container. Add half a cup of milk to the cream cheese and whisk it until it becomes smooth and is easy to spread.

For the final steps pour half if the cake batter into the baking pan. The gently spread the cream cheese over that half. Make sure it is not too lumpy. After spreading the cream cheese over that half pour on the last half of the batter.  Put the oven to 350°  and bake for 20-30 minutes depending on the oven.

This cake is my second favourite to prepare next to cheese cake because it is simple and quick, compared to other recipes.  You can also double the ingredients in order to entertain a large amount of guests. This cake is a wonderful idea for parties and meetings.  You can also substitute the cream cheese for your favorite jam or other spread.  For example you can use strawberries, Guava or simply use caramel or chocolate fillings. That’s what I like the most about baking. You can take a reciepe and make  give it your own twist.  Baking is a hobby that everyone should get a chance to explore, because not only does baking calm you. It makes your imagination run wild, and it opens up a brand new part of your mind and heart that you never knew it existed.
